Ramblin Rose Sprint Triathlon for Women - Raleigh, NC
Tri It For Life Raleigh Chapter trains for the Ramblin’ Rose Raleigh race in Raleigh, North Carolina. The race is typically on a Sunday in May at the AE Finley YMCA. The exact date is determined by Endurance Magazine. You can check the Ramblin’ Rose website to find the current date for the race. The race date is usually released in late December.
You MUST register for the race separate from Tri It For Life. Our membership does not include race registration. You can sign up for the race through the Ramblin’ Rose website.
Tri It For life helps women train for their FIRST triathlon. When our Founder, Dr. Alyse Kelly-Jones, decided to complete a triathlon, she chose the women’s only Ramblin’ Rose Super Sprint Triathlon as her first race.
Ramblin’ Rose Women’s Triathlons, produced by Endurance Magazine, are designed to “Celebrate the Empowerment of Women.” In 2015 they celebrated their 10th season of Ramblin’ Rose. They now have races in Raleigh, South Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Charlotte (Huntersville), and Chapel Hill through which women can experience the exhilaration of participating in a triathlon.
The Tri It For Life training culminates with YOUR first race, a Ramblin’ Rose women’s only triathlon. Athletes must register separately for their Ramblin’ Rose event. Typically, this is the Ramblin' Rose triathlon associated with their Chapter/Session; however, if the participant is unable to make their chapter's triathlon, they may be able to participate in another location's Ramblin' Rose triathlon. Event distances include a 225-250 meter swim, a 9-10 mile bike, and a 2 mile run/walk. The swim and the bike distances may vary depending on the event venue.
